License

What is License?

A gambling license is official authorization granted by a regulatory body permitting an operator to offer gambling services within a specific jurisdiction. Licensed operators must meet ongoing compliance requirements including financial stability, fairness testing, and player protection measures.

Why it matters

Playing with licensed operators provides regulatory protection, access to dispute resolution, and assurance that games are fair and funds are secure. Unlicensed operators offer no such guarantees.

Example

An operator holds license MGA/CRP/123/2020 issued by the Malta Gaming Authority. This license number can be verified on the MGA website, confirming the operator meets regulatory standards.
