Deposit Limit

What is Deposit Limit?

A deposit limit is a responsible gambling tool that allows players to set maximum amounts they can deposit into their gambling account over a specified period (daily, weekly, or monthly). Once set, the limit cannot be increased immediately.

Why it matters

Deposit limits are a primary tool for controlling gambling expenditure. Regulatory frameworks often require operators to offer these tools, and cooling-off periods for limit increases help prevent impulsive decisions.

Example

A player sets a weekly deposit limit of €50. During that week, they cannot deposit more than this amount regardless of their account balance or available funds. Increasing the limit typically requires a 24-72 hour waiting period.
